“Born in a big city, The Hague, and first working in a commercial area, always surrounded by people who work and live for money and only care about buying stuff, I made a great change at the age of 28. I started painting. I like to let people see how beautiful the nature is. That we have to take care of that. I like to skip everything in a painting and only paint the beauty.
The connection between animals and the viewer I try to make by looking in their eyes. The eyes are the most important and I always put the most time in painting that. People like the animals I paint because they become cuddly. The Paradise is the place where people and animals live together, no industry, no devices. Hopefully people can change, and stops the conditioned disposable society.
And of course I hope my paintings contribute in that.”
